Procrastination

I have known for several months that my second teaching portfolio is due this Wednesday. I hadn’t done anything new with it until a couple of days ago.

Nothing like leaving it until the last minute. I now have to pull together descriptions of why each of ten standards is important to effective teaching, plus four to six artifacts that exemplify each standard. I have been putting it off because it’s tedious. I have reflected on those stupid standards so many times that I don’t have anything else to say.

That wasn’t enough to leave until the last minute, though. I have also known for several weeks that I have a final writing assignment for the class I just finished. Also due Wednesday. I started it a couple of days ago, but find that my imagination for ethical problems just isn’t there.

So instead of actually getting some work done, I am writing a post talking about putting off, thereby putting it off a little bit longer…

Procrastination is awesome!  I probably won’t be saying that Wednesday morning. What a dope.
